Merry Christmas!

WISHING EVERYONE A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! (:

CURRENT MUSIC: WU JIAN DAO by ANDY LAU(Cantonese version)

Thanks Colin for inviting me to your party! It was great to see so many people there, and I got to know some fantastic people, got to know others betta through this gathering and I really enjoyed it...pity I could not stay longer coz I gotta rush to somewhere else...Din eat much also but it was a great party! Oh and I saw my senior Fengling as well as eliminated STAR IDOL contestant Terence! Amazing links everywhere man haha...

Grace's party wasn't so lively as compared to the former, but the food there was great! There was the honey ham and also very delicious curry...although I have to say the drinks were kinda weird, or maybe it's just me who dunno how to appreciate sour plum...haha. Anyway, thanks Grace for inviting me to your party too! A worthy mention would be the carolling in Grace's place..haha..the first time Grace organised xmas carolling in her place I think...haha... :)

Then I went to meet the class guys@ Russel's place. Reunited with Lamuda as he came back to Singapore and also met Yi En, Leon and Nigel there. Together we drove to Bedok Blk 85 for supper..as if I was not full enough, I had to gobble down more food...Hwi Jong was like some hungry ghost just released from Changi Prison..he ordered Char Kway Teow, Hokkien Mee, Fried Oyster...and to add to it we had Minced Pork Noodles, Stingray, Sambal Sotong, and BBQ Chicken Wings...it's just crazy. I think 70kg is inevitable but I must be determined and fight on not to exceed the limit! Thereafter, the girls went home and we stayed on at Russel's place. Russel introduced us to his silly game and we all started playing for like 1.5 hours long haha! It was called '007 BANG!!!' Haha..that game was kinda funny and Leon was the big loser all night, and you will never guess what forfeit he was forced to do!!! Haha...I shall keep that a secret though...:) By the time everything finished, it was 5am...and Russ fetched me back... Here again I want to thank Russel for being so nice... :)

I want to make use of this blog entry to also thank everyone who gave me best wishes for the holidays and also those who gave me cards and gifts!! Thank you so much and I really appreciate it! Let us all enjoy the occasion and be MERRY!!!

Nasi Lemak

Spoilt for choices?

Here are two stalls which I will strongly recommend from the many NASI LEMAKs I have tasted around this small bloody island:

SRI SUJANA MUSLIM FOOD @ CHANGI VILLAGE
[Rice]--->3.5/5
[Dishes]---> 3.5/5
[Chilli]--->4/5
[Value For Money]--->4.5/5
[Total]--->15.5/20

If it helps, this stall is also recommended by Makansutra, a former programme on Channel i featuring good foods around Singapore. :)

PONGGOL NASI LEMAK (THE REAL ONE) near HEARTLAND MALL
[Rice]--->4.5/5
[Dishes]---> 4/5
[Chilli]--->5/5
[Value For Money]--->1.5/5
[Total]--->15/20

This stall is well-known and actually needs no recommendation. But such a pity that the prices are just crazily expensive. A chicken drumstick can cost 2 bucks. The rice is freakin fragrant though and the chilli is absolutely fantastic. But, business is business, it is just logical for them to jack up their prices since the food is so irresistible.

Good food doesn't neccessarily have to be expensive

CURRENT MUSIC: FOOLISH GAMES by JEWEL

It just takes a lil effort to go find that place, hidden amongst the rest..
Benison introduced me to this one, and I brought Meiqi, KY to test out the food there..

MISS CLARITY CAFE
5, Purvis Street
Near National Library

Set meals for $8.80 all day! Been there twice so far, and on both occasions the food and friendliness of the staff there didn't let me down at all haha..So, if you are looking for a spot for daily lunch and happen to be loitering around that area, go giv it a try! Bring your laptop, FREE BROADBAND over there! :)

Meiqi hasn't changed abit ever since she left for London. Haha still so crappy as ever :)

Christmas celebrations and lunch in office was great today..by far betta than the previous one. Chandan was the overall in-charge and I guess the difference was the games. Fun and everybody could participate in it..Hez a great organiser and I think he should continue being organiser for the upcomin parties or celebrations in office haha...Pot luck lunch wasn't too bad either. Special praise goes to the bee hoon prepared by Gerald's Mum, and the curry too..which was a lil spicy but nevertheless delicious..

I seriously dunno if I should attend what party tommorow. Why does it all have to fall on the same day? Shucks. I have 2 parties and I'm supposed to meet up with the class guys and I really want to because it's been so long since we met up. Guess I will just show my face at Colin's place then head down to the other party and hopefully by 10+ I can join the guys there..I dunno how I'm gonna balance my time man.

ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PLEASE JIO ME FOR MAHJONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MY HANDS ARE ITCHIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Lorry Experience

CURRENT MUSIC: DRAGOSTEA DIN TEI by O-ZONE

I think SuperHost is a pretty good competition to watch because of the way they carry out the elimination process. Watched yesterday's episode which featured the guys and they had ninety seconds to show what they can describe about a ridiculously shocking human art piece. I think it's really extremely difficult and I laughed throughout watching how some of them performed. Personally I felt the guys will make much better hosts as the girls and so if the final winner turns out to be male I won't be too surprised because they are much more entertaining. Haha..

Went out with Calvin, Qingyong and Zhenzhong for supper at the stretch of Prata shops which were situated near Anthea's place. Had my usual favourite Tissue while the rest feasted mostly on kosong and cheese. Not the best Tissue I have tasted...The one at Toa Payoh still rocks most so I'm looking forward to staying over at Kai An's place again for another round of tissue prata haha! It's a great feeling to sit at the back of a lorry again because as the lorry moves, the wind that blows at you really makes you feel very comfortable. I still remember the last time I sat was like 2 years back, on Ken's father's lorry when almost the whole class sat behind the lorry and played the number game as he fetched us back to a more convenient location from Marina South where we had JTS in the form of steamboat. Haha. Those memories ring back indeed..

Anyway, Calvin's lorry finally arrived at Changi Village where we took Qingyong to explore gay prostitutes. Yesterday night was one of those better nights because we saw quite a number. Some were just perfect in their figure..and if no one told me about what roams about in Changi Village, I would have mistaken some of them as pure females.. serious. Haha. Then there was one that I want to mention. This particular person wore this mini-skirt so short that really appalled me and QY haha. Shortest mini I have ever seen on a 'female'. Haha. Also, Calvin let me and Qingyong drive the lorry around the Changi Village carpark and I must say, lorry is so much different from the car. Especially steering wise. You need to know when to turn because of the different position of the wheel for the lorry as compared to the car. Haha. Oh, and I miss the gear and the clutch! Haha..The last time I touched it was like when I passed the driving test? Haha.. Anw.. it was a great night to just meet up with a few guys for supper and chat and whatsoever.

Today is the last day of my allowed leave for this year which means I have no more leave to clear...:( sobz...

And to make things worst, I fucked up my left knee while playing floorball@VJC on Saturday. It was fun nevertheless. Just hope my knee recuperates soon because everytime I walk it's kinda uncomfortable. Might consider heading to a Chinese physcian to check out the damage..

Sorry readers, if you even bother visiting my website

Yeah just wanna apologize to all readers out there, of course, I'm not saying as if lots of people visit my freaking blog haha, but for those who expected me to update at least once in a while, sorry but I have been doing the disappearing act haha. Lots of things happened throughout this 3 week absence, things like chilling out with some friends, celebrating my birthday (Thanks Benison for introducing such a great restaurant to me! Damn cheap and good..) and of course playing mahjong and losing...AGAIN and much more that I can't remember for now. Anyways, I would like to thank everyone who remembered this ignorant lil boy's 19th birthday and many many thanks to those who gave me best wishes, be it belated or not. Haha. Yeah, don't really feel like writing much today too..

I miss the JC times....

Meiqi is comin back from UK...if I'm not wrong it should be in the wee hours of 16th Dec haha...Lamuda is also returning...So I'm hoping for another gathering real soon! Mei-mei must meet up once you arrive k coz I'll be on leave for the next few days so I'll be kinda free to entertain :) I'm sure all of us miss you!

Warning to those who haven't watched AEON FLUX, if you intend to watch it, please do not. I watched and I certainly think it sucked. Yes it sucks. But Theron's body still rocks hell! Haha...

One bus, one silent farter

CURRENT MUSIC: DIU SHANG XIN by OCEAN OU DE YANG

Before I start on today's main topic, I would like to comment on the Korean drama I'm currently watching - Love Story In Harvard. The first few episodes have rather impressed me..Actors and actresses have their handsome and pretty faces respectively, but what I really want to say is that the theme song is really good!!! Haha..Soothing and the melody is perfect..I always sing along when it plays..haha :)

Okay, onto today's issue. Basically I would just like to share with everyone this experience that I often go through when I travel on buses. Have you ever been a victim on the bus such that whenever you travel on the public bus all of a sudden a smelly stench will somehow get to your nose, and it smells seriously fuckin sickening. Immediately you would think it's fart, which 99% I'm sure it is. Do you get pissed off with this? I sure do. Everytime this happens I swear I felt like strangling the idiot who was responsible, and just fuckin stab him with a knife on his chest. Often I will try to find out who the black sheep is but one will never know who was the one who actually farted. AHHHHHHH!! It's just so shitty when this happens. If this happened to you before, I'm sure you feel the same as I do. And the worst thing is, the smell stays there like forever, so more often than not you gotta live with that smell throughout the whole bus journey. There is no way you are goin to hold your breath all the way unless you are superman who needs no oxygen to live. Sometimes, I really wonder, what those people who silently fart in buses think of their acts? Two most common mentalities will be:

1. Oh my god, I need to fart. I can't help it. I'm so sorry to those people around me. Just endure the smell ok?
2. Oh man this is so funny. Everybody should get a chance to smell my fart...especially in silent mode. WHAHAHAHAHAHA.

As if to fart irresponsibly on the bus is not bad enough, if the farter has mentality no.2, he/she ought to die a terrible death. That is just totally DISGUSTING, SICK AND PERVERTED BEHAVIOUR.

I hope any one you readin this entry is not one of those whom I just described.

Imagine you were caught in one of these two situations. Which situation would you rather encounter?
1. To be sitting comfortably on the SBS bus only for a stench of blardy fart to disrupt your pleasant journey. And you gotta live with that smelly fart for like 45 minutes...

OR...

2. To be sitting beside a madman on the SBS bus, and that mad guy spouts all sorts of nonsense and rants all kinds of funny languages at you and unfortunately you cannot switch seats...

Time to ponder..eh? :P

I love Mahjong!!

CURRENT MUSIC: PUSH THE BUTTON by SUGABABES

Woke up bloody early today because I had plans to go Colin's house for mahjong. It was bloody hell far as I would have to travel from Pasir Ris all the way to Holland V, but thankfully Terence's mum gave me a lift as I went over to his place to meet him first before we proceeded to Colin's together. Finally got to play mahjong again in a very long time as it took me awhile to get warmed up. It was goin good during the early stages and I was winning quite abit until Colin began his crazy streak, lost to him twice in a row as I fed him the winning tile on both occasions. Disgusted with myself. That was when I started goin down and down. But I was not to be the biggest loser for the day, as Terence got crushed badly. Haha. Poor him did not even win a single round haha! I could hav recouped my losses in the last round as I was on my way to a maximum combination, but sickening Eugene was so fucken lucky I couldn't believe it. He won with a minimum combination and my money flew away just like that...Oh wells...Haha.

On my way home I passed by Janice's place by chance and decided to drop by for a little while since she told me she was at home rotting her time away anyway haha. Her bro wanted to play mahjong but he couldn't find enough people to play so in the end I was lookin forward to nothin. Haha..we chatted the whole time and it was really good to see her after we haven't contacted each other for quite some time already..In the end we were still so bored I suggested goin down to walk around, but unfortunately her neighbourhood had nothin interesting as well lol. Her exams are ending pretty soon so after that we must all meet up ok haha... =)

LIVERPOOL 3-0 PORTSMOUTH
What a satisfying scoreline! Every Liverpool fan would love to see that!! Haha..

November's Chopin and The Exorcism Of Emily Rose

I can't help but comment on the latest Jay Chou album coz it's really a great album to listen to. For those who haven't got November's Chopin, you must go get it now. This album is betta than the previous one by leaps and bounds and I am so totally WOWed by some of the songs in this album. Here are the songs that I highly recommend that you should listen to (in order of course):

1. Feng
2. Hei Se Mao Yi
3. Shi Mian Chu Ge
4. Fa Ru Xue
5. Shan Hu Hai

- CLEMENT RATES 'JAY CHOU - NOVEMBER'S CHOPIN' 4 out of 5 STARS -

I watched the movie 'The Exorcism Of Emily Rose' with Kai An on Friday evening. And I must say that this show is really not bad. Not the typical horror show that you would usually expect. This movie focuses more on what happened to Emily Rose when the exorcism took place, and how the Father who conducted that ritual was put on trial for negligible homicide. Anyways, some scenes were disgusting as expected. The body contortions were just pure sickening, plus when Emily chewed on insects it was just Eewww.. The best was of course the exorcism ritual of course. I loved it! Couldn't believe it when there were like a total of 6 demons that possessed her body. Emily should get an award for her excellent acting. Serious. Ohh...I must mention the lawyer who defended Father Moore too...the way she fought her case was simply breathtaking. Even Kai An told me he was impressed haha. Good movie to watch. Relax man, it's not scary a bit.

RATING ---> 3.5 / 5

That Friday evening before I watched the movie I also saw Felicia Chin in Town!! Oh my goodness shez so pretty and was dressed so elegantly!! I just love her lots n lots!!! My MEI REN YU!!! Haha..

Today I was at J8 so I decided to check out the auditions of Campus Superstar. It was fuckin crowded all right. And I simply can't believe so many students actually took part. Ok..fine, a minority really sang great but the rest were just bad. I can tell you 80% were just there for the sake of hoping to get their faces captured big on primetime television. Shameless people man. Why would people want to take part unless they are sure they have at least that bit of talent to sing?? Why?? Don't they feel embarrassed at all? I watched the auditions for about close to ten minutes then decided to leave thereafter. Now I just can't wait to see the auditions because I know it will definitely make me laugh out loud...Haha.. WANNABE STUDENTS..This show will surely attract many consumers..

Funny Daqiu

I finally drove my papi's car for the first time since I got my driving license. I took the chance as I was on leave yesterday and we decided to have breakfast together at Loyang Point, thereafter I drove his car through the entire stretch of the PIE all the way to Jurong area to collect my DVD player which I sent for repair for like 3 weeks back. I miss my DVD player soooo muchh!!! Now I can switch back to the times when I can get to watch my dramas in my cosy room, savouring on my potato chips of course! Hahaz.. Anyways, driving was fun!...No clutch, no need to observe 50km/h and of course no more pressure on myself to need to pass any shit TP!! :) Still need to practise on my parking though, guess more practice will reach near perfection...yep. Looking forward to my next chance to drive papi's car againz..

I just finished watching TONG XIN YUAN on Ch8 and I was really amused by some parts of the show, particularly the scene which took place near the end of today's episode..Here is a brief take on what was shown (translated, of course):

Uncle : We shall use this idea for the upcoming food fair. These are some of the beauties I specially engaged to promote our fishballs.

Daqiu: VERY GOOD!!! To think you were able to come out with such an idea...

Uncle: Yeah, with this we don't have to worry whatever fishballs Dayang will be selling at the fair. Haha.

Daqiu: What??What is that idiot thinking? Hez selling fishballs too?

Uncle: Yeah, apparently hez making chocolate fishballs. It's quite nice..I have tried..

Daqiu: YOU STEWPID AH!!!! DUNNO HOW TO ASK HIM TO MAKE POO-POO FISHBALLS (shitballs) INSTEAD MEH??? CHEY..

It's so fuckin farnie when they act the whole thing out!! Especially when Cavin Soh emphasizes on the word 'Stupid' and the way he told Dayang to go make fishballs stuffed with shit instead..Haha...I really LOL man! Hope during the upcomin Star Awards 2005 he will win the role for Best Supporting Actor which I think he duly deserves...Hahah.

Back From Tioman

CURRENTLY LISTENING TO: KU XIAO BU DE by KE YOU LUN

My skin on the neck and shoulder area is peeling like fuck. Man.

Yep...it's been one week since I came back from the Tioman trip together with some of my closer buddies in the unit. It was a great experience for me, not the most luxurious of trips but it was still freaking fun because after I went with frens. Tried snorkelling for the very first time in my life (hope it's not too late, haha) and also swam with schools of fishes in the sea. Also gambled every night and it was full of fun. Although I lost quite alot, it didn't really matter coz even if I had won I had to treat the guys anyway, which was what Ngai Han and Calvin did. Haha. It was a pity though there was no BBQ on our 2nd night if not I bet it will be even better. The greatest spoiler during the trip for me was when the sea engulfed my cap when it flew away from my head while I was on the speedboat back to Mersing. Well..was sad initially but I asked for it really coz I should have listened to Yu Tian's advice to take off my cap before that. Oh. After this trip I have learnt to appreciate SBS buses alot. That's because when you compare SBS buses to those of Malaysia, they are worlds apart. Serious. And people from Malaysia dun fucking queue to board the bus. Throughout the bus journey I was feeling like shit coz it was so squeezy in there even though I had the luxury of sitting. Can't imagine those who stand and endure being sandwiched for the whole of the bus journey - which was like almost 2 hrs. It was absolute torture. So guys, appreciate what SBS provides you with man. They are tonnes better than those stupid buses you can find in Malaysia. Regarding what happened throughout the trip, I m kinda lazy to pen it down actually. Once I get hold of all the pictures from the trip, I'll post them up and let em tell you all about the trip.

Was on leave on Thursday and so I made use of the chance to meet up with Kian Guan to catch the movie 'TOM-YUM-GOONG' starring my idol Tony Jaa. Hez an incredible bone-breaking machine. A damn good show it was and definitely worth my 7 bucks. If you haven't caught it, you must.

Passed my driving!!!

I PASSED MY DRIVING!!! WHEE!!!

Yeah and it's damn true!! Although it was a marginal pass, but who cares? Still a pass..and that is what it all matters...haha...I could have gotten 8 points if not for my fucked up mistake at the very last part when I was going to turn back into the driving centre...haha..Apparently I missed the driving centre coz I was too concentrated about the oncoming traffic on the opposite road, and by the time I realized it was kinda late but still I quickly turned back and the right turn back to the centre almost looked like a u-turn. Haha. At that moment, I tot I was goin to fail but luckily there were no pedestrians around so he did not jam-brake the car. Got 10 points for that stewpid mistake which eventually totalled up to 18. PASSED! And I was elated although he was still putting on that stern face coupled with that pair of sunglasses, as he kept scolding me for my mistakes but I just didn't care because all I was thinking of was a pass..Haha. There I exited the tester's office, and I couldn't hide my delight as I happily went to close my account with CDC, then waited to watch the video for newly qualified drivers. I am so looking forward to drive my dad's car now that I have passed! Haha....I just knew today will be a DAMN good day..

Watched 'Star Idol' on Ch 8 just now and the auditions were so funny as usual. Really enjoyed watching it. Chew Chor Meng was making a fool out of all the applicants and there were some people who really didn't feel shameless about taking part in the competition. They were so lousy I think I could have performed betta haha! Anyway, Mum showed me one of the pages in TODAY which showed the pictures of all the 20 contestants...and I scanned thru them..only to find Cheryl in there! Haha..Can't believe shez one of the top20 contestants! Back in VJ we were mere acquaintances...haha....now shez takin part in this competition! Truly wish her all the best...she has the 'Star Idol' face la...think she should be able to go far in the contest...and I will be rooting my support for her thruout haha! Jiayou jiayou! :)

Still nervous about Wednesday

Current Mood: Still Nervous
Current Music: LUAN SHI FU SHENG by MAYDAY

The day has finally arrived for me to face it - THE MUCH DREADED DRIVING TEST THAT I AM SO AFRAID I WILL FAIL.

Thank you to my dear cousin Grace for giving me a treat @Marche yesterday for dinner.

Yesterday I had to work overtime in the office because of the fact that I will be away for the whole week and will only be returning on the 7th. One of the leave combos I have taken..Tmr taken leave because of my driving test and Friday will be goin to Tioman with some of my camp mates. That reminds me...gotta go renew my passport validity tomorrow or I can forget about going on the trip!! Haha..

Anyway I worked till it was close to 6pm and Grace gave me a lift down to town for dinner with my sis, brother-in-law and also my GP teacher. Hasn't changed abit man..but I was impressed coz he has slimmed down alotz physically!!Haha.. Well, it was normal dinner I guess..therez really nothing much I can say about.. A get-to-know-you dinner between Grace and my teacher? Haha..wadever. But conversations were hard to come by..if there were any they always used me as bait haha. But anyway...everything turned out fine and it was just like any other dinner...

Today was the final day of the wake as I went down to see her for one last time. There were cries and tears from several people present there, obviously sad to see her go just like that...Even I felt a tinge of sadness in myself when her coffin made its way to the crematorium. Wish her well in her afterlife and hope her immediate family takes it easy. :)

Just received an SMS from Nagi Han and hez jio-ing me to Zouk tommorow night. Well, if I pass I will probably join them to partee...but if I don't I'm afraid I will have no mood to club. I think tomorrow's outcome should decide if I will be looking forward to the Tioman trip. Jeez.

Here's an interesting question which Yutian posted to me a few days back:

Would you rather live 5 years as a tiger, or 20 years as a sheep??

For me, it would be the former.

Nervous about Wednesday

CURRENT MOOD: NERVY :(
CURRENT MUSIC: YE QU by JAY CHOU

I'm very nervous about my driving test on Wednesday, definitely no doubt about that. Just had my final revision lesson yesterday at the test centre and luckily for me I got a pretty good driving instructor. He told me about my weakest points and advised me on the DOs and DONTs during the test. He also helped me master the parallel parking obstacle, and if I do really get through that with ease on Wednesday I will thank him lots man. Practically tried everything as he brought me to the more challenging areas like test routes 6 and 7 and Ubi Rd 4. I'll just be so thankful not to get the test route 6 and 7 because it's so fuckin hard. Especially the lane change part, oh my god yesterday was the first time I faced so much difficulty doing lane change. The whole place was experiencing a traffic jam, and the other cars were complete fuckers...all dun wan to give way want le..and it's really tough to judge the cars' speed. I think if I sway sway get 6/7 I'll just be mentally prepared to come back to Ubi for another test date. Seriously.

PRAY FOR ME TO PASS MY DRIVING OK....

Received news on Friday that Mdm K will be treating us guys to a buffet dinner. It's to give ORD-ing boy Jia Hao a treat. An expensive one indeed. Place was at Clarke Quay, Swissotel Merchant Court to be precise. Haha. Dun frequent there really often so had to meet Calvin to ask him to lead the way there. Hence, met him@Parkway for some pool before we took bus 196 down over to Clifford Pier and walked all the way to the destination. I felt extremely gutted because I did not do any workout yesterday went I should have. When will I really get down to business?!?!? The tummy grows but I continue to ignore. Worst still, if you looked at today's Straits Times, Lifestyle section, on the cover page you will see 2 PANDA XIONG TIAN PINGs. One 60kg, the other 100kg. FucK. How did he become so fat?? Anyways, he looks so disgusting now and what I am afraid is that someday I will follow in his footsteps! NoOOOOOOO!!! Never!!!!! I've got to cut down SOON. Anyway, back to the main issue, we had buffet dinner and I guess Calvin and I ate the most. Damn full man. Liked their Chocolate Fountain and Crispy Platter. That's about it. The rest of the food was sub-standard. The sashimi was a total turn-off and the shark's fin soup tasted more like beansprout chowder. I'm serious. Not worth the money unfortunately. Too bad I couldn't appreciate oysters coz if there was one thing that looked really a MUST-EAT it was that. Anyways, thank you Mdm K for your treat. Really appreciate it. It was again the same situation as Calvin and I did not speak to Jia Hao. I dunno what's his problem but he seriously has mood swings because he can talk to you yesterday and treat you like a foe today. Craziness. Why he is not talking to us I donno, but if he wants this to carry on so be it, coz I dun think Calvin and I gives a damn about it. Such a pity.

One of my closer relatives left us on Friday. Din really expect her to leave us just like that but reality is that that has happened and we got to face it. Went straight to the wake after the Merchant Court dinner to pay my respects. I am just happy that I managed to chalk up some time to pay her a visit just last week, and I knew she was really happy to see me. My mum is really sad about this cos she was like a mother to her. I guess my mum will be feelin rather shitty about this but I will try my best to spend time with her over the next few days.. After everythin I stayed over at Kai An's place as we watched Liverpool win West Ham 2-0 and Boro thump Man Utd 4-1. Here is my conclusion about the Man U Middlesborough game:

MAN UTD SUCK, RIO FERDINAND SUCK EVEN MORE.

Just finished watching ONG BAK on Channel U. Tony Jaa is a tremendous fighting machine. I dare say hez much better than the likes of Jet Li and Jackie Chan. Whoo...he just mesmerizes me with his superb fighting skills. Now I so want to watch, and die-die will watch the upcomin Thai Action Movie TOM-YUM-GOONG. Tony Jaa.. hez the man. Haha.

Hmm..interesting...haha..

Finally started to do a little workout

It was a Saturday with a fully-packed programme for me as I started the morning waking up late, as a result having to take a cab down for my driving lesson. Talking about driving lessons, I cannot afford to fail my driving test this coming Nov 2 because I have no more money to set aside for another string of driving lessons plus another booking for the driving test. Besides, the reality of having to wait so long before you can proceed for another dig at the driving test is simply unthinkable. I don't care if it's 6 points or 19 points, damn it I just want to pass. Oh I saw Jeremias as I was leaving the centre, and he hasn't changed abit. A good lad, so easily recognisable. Haha.

After that I arranged to meet up with Xuan Yu to go for some swimming. I decided that I gotta start to do some workout someday and therefore decided to accept his very kindly invitation to join him. I swam a cool blue 22 laps in the olympic-sized swimming arena in Hougang Swimming Complex, and I felt really contented with myself. Swwimming this distance is by no means an easy task but I didn't gave up. Haha.

Then in the evening I went to visit this relative of mine who was really in quite a poor condition, therafter meeting up with Ken, Russ and Tze Hin in town. Found out about the new food court in Wisma Level 4, which I explored for a little while before I met them. It's really big as the food court stretches a whole level and I took a peek at the various types of foods they were selling and it's really not bad. I'm sure I will try out the food there pretty soon I would hope. Haha. We walked around after Russ finished his shopping@TOPMAN and thought of where to go. We stopped over outside Indochine to listen to their house band perform and, I must say they were really good. Finally decided to settle down in Russ's new house@Katong area. His new place was a dream really. A really nice 3-storey house and oh my god it was just absolutely astounding. The whole place had such modern design and how I wished I was living there too. Russ's room was even better. So spacious, and his king-sized bed was just laid on the floor. The whole layout of his room was simple yet beautiful. Equipped with the PS2 console and the plasma screen TV, I wished it was my room. Then, he brought us to the very top of his house which was equally kool. You feel like you are simply on the top of the world. Definitely near the standard of my dream house. Russel you lucky bitch. Haha.

We watched the Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur soccer match and it was rather entertaining. Jena's goal was a beauty and although we were disappointed Liverpool lost to Fulham, we were equally glad Manchester United failed to beat Spurs. We chiong-ed down to Teo Heng to sing about an hour of karaoke, and we tried to sing as many songs as we could, haha singing like one chorus for each song then skipping already. Never have we finished singing a song fully. Anyway what was so crazy about us was that Russel, the ultimate Karaoke King managed to search for one of those stupid songs again and this time it was 'Ai Bu Pa' by Grasshoppers(Cao Meng). The MTV was a joke and it was so funny and the lyrics are even worse. Haha, but that was our last song, and we sang it with a huge bang and I think everyone who could hear us tot we were nuts. Haha. It was fun though.

Our last stop was this Hong Kong eatery along Upp East Coast Rd - I think it's called 'Shi Nai'. Recommended by Tze Hin, we went there for supper. Before we even went in we saw a ferrari parked near the shop and immediately guessed that some big shot was dining in that restaurant haha. Guess wad, we saw Mediacorp Artiste Le Yao, and whether shez the one driving the ferrari, you can go ponder on your own. Haha. For this supper we must thank officer-to-be Quek Jongy, who offered to give of us a treat. We ordered food and beverages including Coffee-Tea Yuan Yang, Iced Mango Pomelo(My personal favourite), French Toast with Peanut Butter Spread, HK Cafe Noodles, Soya Sauce Noodles With Deep Fried Pork and some Deep Fried Wanton. The Wanton was exclusively expensive as 6 of them cost $5.80. Daylight robbery rite? Craziness. Russel also became infatuated with this girl whom supposedly was Le Yao's friend. Probably all of them just finished filming or somethin coz that girl was dressed in a uniform. No other reason to explain why rite, because she doesn't look to be like a student, at least to Russel. Haha. What a bummer coz I din get to see her face as I was seated such that my back was facing her back. Wanted to c if Russel's taste was normal or just totally fucked up haha. Hmm...the things there are pretty expensive, but they're good la. So maybe I'll consider popping by again. Haha. An ideal place to bring your girl to if you have run out of places to dine in. :)

Thank you Russel for fetching me home. Haha. By the time I stepped back home it was already 0345. Quickly washed up and got some sleep. Was originally scheduled to play mahjong with my army buddies Tian Hao and Wei Yang but we had difficulty finding the last leg coz Calvin was not available. Therefore, in the end we cancelled it. NVM. Plenty of time to win money haha. Next time I should jio Justin Neo over. It's just because his exams are underway tt's why I dare not really ask him out for mahjong haha. Prolly when his exams end we will meet up for mahjong again man...haha it's been long since we met up.

Oh..

How true.

An interesting viewpoint about McDonalds

Was looking forward to my medical appontment at NSC this afternoon today coz it's always good to be able to get out of the office. Just a few outstanding stuffs left yet to do, and for once in my new vocation I feel at ease, a lil easier to breathe now that everything has been settled here more or less, and I'm gettin rather used to life over there. :)

Anyways, since it was on my way I decided to lunch on McDonalds to satisfy my hunger. Had my favourite burger - Mcspicy Double, and I must comment on the quality of the french fries today. Fried near perfection and even the colour was good enough to show that it was Grade A standard. Haha. If you realise that whenever you order somethin from McDonalds, there will normally be a sheet of paper attached to the tray and the contents written in the sheet of paper will be nutrition information about the various types of foods you can find in McDonalds. So as I was eating, I scanned through the nutritional values of the different burgers and found some interesting results from there:

McChicken contains 510kcal of energy, 30g of fat and 50mg of cholestrol, while Mcspicy Double contains 504kcal of energy, 22g of fat and 25mg of cholestrol. Hmm... notice any discrepancies? It's kinda weird rite, considering Mcspicy Double is made up of 2 chicken thighs and McChicken only contains a single chicken patty? So why does McChicken have more fat and cholestrol than McSpicy? Something to ponder...haha..will be great if anyone who studies nutrition can answer this query of mine. I tot it was kinda interesting so I should share it up on my bloggy. Maybe it's McDonalds providing incorrect values? Shouldn't be that huge a possibility rite, considering that McDonald's has an enormous reputation to protect. Hmm.....

Also, before I even had the chance to order my food in front of the cashier, one of their restaurant managers had already came up to me and asked me what was my order goin to be. Equipped with just a palm top, she keyed in the order and handed me a slip which had only numbers on it. 'Just present it to the cashier,'said the manager. Actually, this ordering system of McDonalds has been in place for kinda some time already, but it really caught me thinking as I analysed its cost-effectiveness. They implement such a system in place, and the obvious advantages will be to speed up orders and lessen queue time. More orders will result but can the profits from these orders offset the cost of this system? I should feel this system is very expensive, due to the mechanism of generating order codes and buying several palm tops for each and every restaurant, at least those in Singapore..therefore, if you would isolate this situation and not let other factors come into play, would you think it is McDonalds making a loss or a profit? I guess only those working in the higher ranks of McDonalds Coporation would know the answer. But nevertheless, I feel it's really interesting to weigh out the cost-effectiveness of various implementions by different companies, and from there think about the benefits that arise from such areas. Kool to really find out how different organisations work and create opportunities to earn themselves some big-money deals.

Hmm..perhaps....just perhaps....the blogger here has a business mind in the making....hahaha
:p

Good N Tasty Yong Tau Foo

AIMING TO: REDUCE MY WEIGHT COZ I'M GROWING SO FAT. CLOSING IN ON 70KG WHICH IS DISGUSTING!
CURRENT MUSIC: DREAMS by DIANA DEGARMO

Some people are just pure idiots who simply will do anything to try to get the best out of everything. I know of one such dumbo in my unit and I shan't comment any further.

Anyway had dinner with Calvin today as we dined at a coffeeshop just residing next to Bedok Interchange. It was Yong Tau Foo and it's really cheap and good. I ordered quite alot and it only cost $2.60. Their sweet sauce mixed together with some high quality chilli made the yong tau foo value for money. Highly recommended. U bet I will go there and eat again.

Wake up idiots, September has ended

CURRENT MODE: SLACKING@WORK
CURRENT MUSIC: MY HUMPS by BLACK EYED PEAS

Just about a month ago Meiqi left for the United Kingdom to pursue her studies. 2 weeks later, another good friend of mine leaves for the same place to further her education. This time, her departure was much more emotional. Several of my other frens who went to see her off at the airport that day broke down totally. A tinge of sadness struck me as I just looked on as she left for the departure gate. The guy who probably was worst-hit was Daryl. Putting up a strong front, he refused to shed a tear in front of us, as she hugged Charlene for one last time. After she went in, Daryl was nowhere to be seen. Perhaps he needed some peace. I did my best by sending him a message telling him not to take it too hard. But I know I can never fathom the deepness of the cuts he has suffered after that very night. I hope both Meiqi and Char are doing fine over in London.

Just last Saturday I played field soccer in what was my first time in 2.5 years...and as expected I didn't perform to my full ability. In fact, I played like a fuckin twat. I was used in 2 positions, RMF in the 1st half and LB for 2nd half. Fatigue set in quickly as I started the game on the right flank. Playing under the hot sun, my energy was draining fast and I knew I was lacking alot of fitness. Haven't been exercising on a regular basis so it was no real surprise actually. Missed tackles, lousy passes, wrong positioning, you name it. My performance was just sickening. And after 25 min I decided it was just too much for me and I told Alex to switch me out. In the 2nd half it was worse as I played in LB which I totally was unfamiliar with. I played the opponents onside and even failed to clear easy balls. What the fuck was I doin man. Luckily, our keeper Simon was fantastic that day and the match ended 0-0. At least the result wasn't wrong. If we had lost I probably was goin to shoulder much of the blame. But anyways, I would like to comment that Alex was shouting the whole time, which I really didn't like it at times. Just shouting negative comments all over the pitch is not goin to spur the team on, at least not me. Maybe....just maybe he can take a few pointers from Shawal, who was at least encouraging. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying Alex is a bad leader, in fact he makes a good leader. Just that hez probably too overbearing at times. Alex, if you are reading this, no offence ok. But, please do know that passion is not anger. Do try to control your temper even though I know it's your nature. Chill dude. Haha. I guess it was a totally good workout and a valuable experience for me that day. Completed the afternoon when I lunched with Calvin and Gerald at some nearby coffeeshop in Cantonment Rd. The Lor Mee was really not bad. Maybe we were just hungry. Haha.

kOOLio!! I won 64 bucks over the weekend as I betted on some soccer matches.... International matches are easier bets I feel. Well...wadever.

Watched "THE MYTH" with Mum yesterday. Kim Hee Sun(I think it's spelt like that) is really gorgeous and Mallika Sherwat was another stunning beauty. I tell you if I were an Indian I would have gone crazie over her. The show was really not bad at all! Exceeded my expectations. The first movie where Jackie Chan actually dies, although it's just a myth n everythin haha.

MOVIE RATING: 3.5/5

Saturday wrap-up

Despite not being fully recovered from my stomach flu, I still decided to go out and meet out with the usual suspects, this time it was to celebrate Beck's birthday - in advance. And I wanted to kill Hwi Jong for making me wake up so early. He suggested to Ken that we should meet early for lunch, since it was a buffet, so we should take full advantage of it. In the end, I dunno why, but knowing they won't be punctual, I still decided to meet at the time stated by Ken. But when I reached there, only saw Greg Ken and KH. Where was HJ? He should be the first to arrive since he wanted to meet earlier. That idiot. Haha. Anywayz we proceeded with eating first. The place was @Siam Kitchen housed in Parco Bugis Junction. It was ala-carte lunch buffet and Ken acted fast by ordering one of everything available. At first I tot Ken was crazy but when I saw the portions being served I realised it was not alot of food. I tucked in together with the other guys and liked the Green Curry and Thai Fishcake the most. As we were about to finish the first round Janice and then Jongy arrived. I didn't really eat to my maximum that day coz I was still feeling rather terrible. Anyway the other guys were chatting about army life the whole time and I couldn't really join in the discussion coz my vocation was an admin clerk after all...In truth, I was kinda sian listening to them cos I dunno what they were tokin abt. I looked across to Jan and I really wanted to ask her if she felt the same haha. Coz she was giving the sian sian look also. Maybe if I had sat nearer to her we could hav talked about other stuffs...uni life maybe haha..but I guess we endured thru till the main star for the day arrived at the scene. Becky arrived soon after SH and she was really really late. But, what's new? Shez always either late, or the latest. Haha. Wadever. We sat there for awhile more..as usual..took some casual photos..and then decided to take a walk coz we were superrrr full. Crazy HJ and KH decided to kill so many chickens when they kept asking for chicken wings. Haha. I think in total we ordered around 50 chicken wings...and Kian Hean was the ultimate chicken-eater, he counted and he proudly exclaimed he ate 22 wings...haha...enough to form a chicken wing bone mountain on his plate.. haha.

Thereafter we walked around and as usual didn't know where to go. Oh KY and Russ joined us before that. And we stopped outside Hotel Intercontinental. After contemplating for a LONGGGG while, Russ made the final decision, to walk over to BREKO CAFE and hav some coffee. On our way there we really din expect to chance upon Choon Guang, who was waiting for his girl Fanny. Long time really neber see him already. Yah...hez still the same old him..always joking around. Oh saw Fanny too and I thought she really changed alot. Became prettier I guess..Shez got rid of her specs and really looked more feminine. Haha. wadever. Over@BREKO, I ordered Lemon Hibiscus Tea while others drank lattes and coffee ice-blendeds. My lemon hibiscus was really not bad. Haha. Over there, we just chatted and chatted and took more photos till it was like almost 6pm where most of us including me had to go. Yupp. I hope Becks enjoyed the outing today, coz it was for her..eh...if any of my classmates is reading this entry, can the kind soul please let me know if we are getting any present for her? Haha..

From Bugis I travelled to Eunos to attend Brent's birthday party. In truth I was kinda reluctant coz I din know if Brent had cable TV coz I really really wanted to watch soccer yesterday. I am glad he did and I was thankful I could watch the match. But his house was really cool, it was a condo-like building that was built by the Hotel81 president. And Brent's family was few of the lucky residents coz his father worked under the Hotel81 management. Very nice place. Swimming pool, table soccer, large-screen cable TV, gym and karaoke room were some of the facilities present on the ground floor. And in Brent's unit the toilet was open-air one. Unique but also kinda dangerous coz someboday could just easily peep at the person showering. But what the hell, who wants to peep at Brent??Haha.. anyway ate very little over there too because of my bad stomach and watched the Liverpool match there. Was absolutely gutted that Liverpool only managed to draw. The team must really start to win if they are to mount a serious championship challenge. Assholes Chelsea have won again..fucking lucky blues. But was ecstatic to hear that Man Utd lost and even Arsenal only managed a 0-0 stalemate with West Ham. Guess it was a bad weekend for the top teams excluding Chelsea. Oh wells. Felicia also forced me to buy a ticket for the movie premiere of "Into The Blue" starring the ever so sexy Jessica Alba. I really dunno if I can make it, but I still gave in to her constant persuasion and promised to purchase a ticket regardless of whether I can make it on Oct6 or not. Well, I will be consoled by the fact that I am killing 2 birds with one stone - Firstly, helping Breast Cancer patients coz its for charity. And secondly, helping a friend coz it's actually Felicia's term project and her grades are dependent on it. Oh wells.

ANYWAY, IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN DONATING TO THE BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION OR WATCHING THE MOVIE PREMIERE 'INTO THE BLUE' (starring Jessica Alba and Paul Walker) , you can contact me via email(violentblood@hotmail.com) and I can help you get tix (each ticket priced at 15 bucks). Yup. Oh I think the $15 that you pay will also include popcorn discount vouchers. If that is an incentive to you. Haha.

I am so sorry I haven't been blogging on a regular basis

CURRENT MOOD: =( FEELING SICK
CUURENT MUSIC: I WAS BORN TO LOVE YOU by QUEEN

Let's see...How long has it been? Slightly more than 3 weeks..

I really want to apologize..coz it's my entire fault that I haven't been doing some updating here. I have just been a lazy bum who can't even be bothered to update my blog. You should just kill me. I have no farking idea why I am so lazy. But whatever, I am seizing this chance to write out something since I am at home now nursing my illness. Before that, I want to thank Sanjiv for persuading me to do some updating and also apologize to my colleagues at work, namely Shaun and Ngai Han, especially the latter. He was not able to clear his leave today, I guess I am partly to blame. I am utterly sorry but I am really not feeling well, and I appreciate your kind understanding. :)

I shall write the things that I can remember..
We shall date back to....

Thursday, 1st September

I was clearing my off-in-lieus and decided to meet up with Meiqi to crash NUS together since both of us were free that day. Haha, in the end it wasn't a really pleasant trip to NUS. Well, before that we had lunch together at a hawker centre near Clementi Interchange. She had chicken chop while I had porridge if I remember correctly and the food was ok lah. Then we had to squeeze our bodies with the other students from NUS on bus 96 which really sucked. Luckily Meiqi managed to grab a seat fast enough and we had the luxury to sit through the whole trip to NUS. But, it still sucked because it was real stuffy in the bus. Bus 96 had to be NON-AIR CONDITIONED. Then, the tricky part came. We didn't know where to stop coz we were not familiar with NUS after all. Haha. And happiness, we ultimately found ourselves at the wrong bus stop. To make things worse, we had trouble navigating around campus and finally found central library. Well, we went in to dry ourselves coz by that time sweat was already pouring all over us. Haha gotta say the damn library is fucking grand!! I like!! Haha...next we found ourselves at LAW faculty. Walk, walking and walked till we finally found BIZAD. We wanted to attend the lecture but it was too late. We din want to enter the lecture theatre making a 'grand entrance'. Haha. Decided to head back to the area near central library and check out the 'FORUM' bookstore. Then, I asked Meiqi how she felt about this whole crashing thing and she says it sucked. To think we travelled all the way here to lose our way. Haha. So funnie. Hence, we unanimously agreed to get out of this crappy campus since we weren't familiar with it at all and then headed down to Queensway to do some shopping. Haha. In the end, I bought a pair of shoes that I needed so badly and also a T-Shirt which I tot was really nicely designed. Meiqi wanted to go Holland V coz she heard of a factory outlet there which sells cheap and good stuff but it was too late and we didn't know how to go there. Haha. So, we didn't go in the end. We finally went our separate ways at Parkway, where I had Katong Laksa fer dinner while she met up with her frens. Throughout the whole bus journey from Queensway to Katong we both slept like a log...hahaha. But, it was a crazy afternoon man.

Sunday, 4th September

Well, after giving tuition I had a game of badminton with Xuan Yu at Paris Ris East CC which was near my place. It sucked coz I lost to him in 3 straight sets. Haha. Maybe I was too tired or something ..but my work rate is just atrocious. It caused my bloody downfall as I lost. I was pretty sure if I pushed a lil harder I would have won him. HMPH. But anyway, good game and rest assured I will beat you someday. Don't you swell kiddo. Haha.

Friday, 9 September [Ehh...I think]

After work I had tuition with Guo Xiang then I met up with some of my colleagues (Qing Yong, Thiam Hao, Ngai Han, Terence, Colin, Eugene, Shaun, Zhengzhong and Jian Xiong) for supper at CHOMPCHOMP@Serangoon Gardens (I hoped I spelt it correctly). Well, I was bluddy influenced by Qing Yong to turn up coz actually I didn't want to as I was really tired for the day already. But was glad I turned up coz it was really nice to chit-chat with the guys and try to improve some understanding between us colleagues. Well, and also I met my primary school classmate Christopher whom I glad remembered me. Haha. He happened to be Terence's junior I think. After all, they were both in RI so it's no surprise actually. Anyway, we ate and talked and wadever. Also met Janan and Xuan Ming there. Xuan Ming had a big transformation, well at least that's what I think. Haha. Not the normal XM that I knew in camp. But wadever. After that, Thiam Hao and me suddenly had an urge for mahjong so we proceeded to Eugene's house to try our luck. Calvin joined us there and once more I shared my capital with him, as we pit our mahjong skills against the likes of Eugene, Colin and Thiam Hao. Not knowing how skillful they were and knowing Thiam Hao's rash nature to throw out winning tiles, I really fancied myself to bring home at least 5 bucks that night. But it was not to be... Calvin was super unlucky that night. And Eugene just went mad. Sickening as everyone lost to him. He won a grand total of 66 bucks in the end. Just pure SICK. I tried to minimize our losses by winning a few games but unlucky Calvin lost them all AGAIN when he took over. What can I say? Haha. I am never gonna go to Eugene's place to play Mahjong again. It just sucks haha. Bad omen when you go there.

Saturday, 17th September

It was the day my sister was definitely looking forward to. It's the ROM of my sister and Nick. Her bestest friends came over our house to party the night before..Set at Goodwood Park Hotel, it wasn't the ordinary ROM that you would expect. The whole solemnization ceremony was held at this very nice garden, and there were minmal amount of people witnessing this. Due to the space constraint, my sister and Nick only decided to invite immediate family and some of our closer relatives. It was special I guess, and I can really sense the happiness in my sister's face. Dressed in a beautiful green gown, she was being walked down by Daddy..and it was touching to see Daddy hand sister over to Nick. I was the camera boy as sister put me in-charge of shooting photos from her Nikon Coolpix. I wasn't paying attention to the JP during the solemnization, jus busy taking photos. In the end..I am just really happy for her as a brother. I wish her eternal happiness and like all fairy tales say - to live happily ever after. Haha. I am truly happy for her and hope that she had made the right decision for herself. I hope that Nock is the right man for her. I give you both my blessings..:)

Thereafter, I went to Shaun's place for awhile to at least show my face at his birthday party. I congratulated him and ate his birthday cake. It was yummy choc fudge. Shortly after all the OSC people left but I felt rather bad to leave so fast, so I stayed on fer awhile more together with Eugene, Tucky and Thiam Hao. We just chatted and watched soccer while Shaun entertained his other frens for most of the time. I must say that Shaun has some crazie friends man. Haha. There is one called James, who really is insane. And then there's thsi Indian who also talks alot of stupid crap haha. These are the CHIONGSTERS that Shuan hang out with everytime he goes clubbing...as he told us..Like Eugene, restrained myself from drinking besides having only one shot of Raspberry Vodka mixed with a lil 7UP. Also, I was pretty amazed to see Tuck Chen pick up smoking. I never did expect that man and when I shared it with Eugene he told me that he picked it up for fun. Hopefully so, coz it's never nice when you get addicted to it. He probably learnt to smoke under some influence...I certainly hope I won't be the subject of influence. I hate smoking...and I can't imagine myself smoking next time man.

Sunday, 18 September

It was the day where Meiqi and Alison leaves for the UK to pursue their studies. As much as I hate to see them go, the inevitable has to happen. Before sending them off at the airport..I went over to Kiaying's house to watch soccer with her before we would make our way to the airport together. I can't believe Liverpool did not score against Manchester Utd again in the EPL, their 3rd 0-0 draw in 4 league games. It totally sucked. To think I was relishing the chance to play down Man Utd in front of Kiaying's face coz shez a Man U fan. Haha. But there was the consolation fact that Liverpool looked the more threatening. Haha. At about 945pm we found ourselves at the airport, and many other friends of Alison and Meiqi respectively. Well, a few of us came to send the two girls off..and we took our last photos with them...

Me, CP, KH and the girls

Together with Ally

Wish them all the best in whatever they do overseas...And make sure they don't forget us when they stay overseas!! Already I am looking forward to their return to Singapore during their holidays to visit us..

TODAY, 23rd September

I should mention that I watched Fear Factor on TV yesterday night and it utterly made me sick. Yesterday's stunts were just EeWwW. As if having to pierce 10 needles of varying thickness through your skin is not enough, the unlucky contestants for that show had to eat 4 ounces of maggot-infested cheese gone bad. That seriously sucked. You should have seen how one of them really had ultimate difficulty trying to gulp down the chesse. Oh my god. Seriously. EeWwW..

I just called Cindy to tell her that I will be withdrawing from tuitioning her problem kid anytime soon and never did I expect her to giv me such a fucked up reaction. She told me she was really disappointed. Well, you can't really blame me if your kid has no interest at all..because I would really love to continue the tuition if ur kid shows some bloody sense of eagerness to learn. But NO. When I asked Guo Xiang whether he wanted to do well for his PSLE, he had the cheek to tell me: "Well I dunno, go ITE is the best!" It makes it really hard to continue teaching him like that..I am sorry, but I don't regret my decision. I reached a compromise with her that I will tuition him till his PSLE is over..but I can sense that she really hates me to the core now..Oh wells..I don't care. I'm just gonna do my job and forget about this kid once it's done. But I have no idea how I am going to face her for the upcoming 2-3 weeks. I just feel sorry for Guo Xiang. If he had the slightest motivation to study, then maybe...just maybe..

That call just now made me understand.
It's not easy to be a tutor.
Parents are really becoming so demanding nowadays.
But maybe, I have to shoulder some blame.. maybe I just had no confidence and no interest in tutoring this kid becuase of his very bad attitude.
Now I am just worried that the agency will stop giving me assignments becuase of my lack of commitment...

Robinho, Detective Mok and Mr. Wisely

I just finished watching two HK TVBI serials, namely The 'W' Files and To Catch The Uncatchable.

THE 'W' FILES

If you like the supernatural, you should probably enjoy this show. Well, as for me, it was quite interesting to watch the different types of weirdo stories, some they really portrayed very well...but overall, I kind of expected more out of this show, since it was Gallen Lo's swansong performance. Not fantastic, but good to watch in my opinion. My favourite actors will be Gallen Lo (Wei Si Li) and Michael Tong (Bai Qi Wei), actresses will be Tavia Yeung (HongHong) and Yoyo Mung (Bai Su). Ending was superrr crappy and I was rather turned off by it. But for the rest of it, it is really worth watching.

FINAL VERDICT -----> 3.5/5

TO CATCH THE UNCATCHABLE

Yeah yeah the title may sound extremely cheezy but I tell you this is one hell of a good show. If you want lots of humour you can definitely get it from this show. Perfect show, perfect cast. Favourites included the ever pretty Ada Choi who is really versatile in her acting, Huang Zi Hua aka Detective Mok, Michael Tong as Jim Jim, there is Mary and Mia in the show whom I don't know their real names, and also not forgetting Marco Ngai (Romeo) who will guarantee make you laugh like shit in the show. Really loved the cases they solved in the show, especially the Chan Wai Keung case and also the fake religion case. Strongly recommended..

FINAL VERDICT -----> 4.5/5

ROBINHO

This guy was really impressive when I watched him play. He came on as a substitute for Real Madrid in the match vs newly promoted side Cadiz. Orchestrated the winning goal for Real Madrid and is simply unstoppable. Watch the video and you know what I mean.

Robinho And His Samba (Real Madrid vs Cadiz)

Now, are you impressed?

Weekend at a glance

Never would I have expected that I would have to use my knowledge of changing tyres to get back home on Saturday. Saturday was a well-spent day, in the morning I went to tuition Guo Xiang, and thereafter Mahjong wannabes Tianhao, Jia Hao and Calvin came over to my place to try their luck at winning some money. But in the end, only two prevailed. That was Calvin and me. WHAHAHA. The usually skillful Jia Hao actually had a bad day, as he was the biggest loser. Too bad we didn't play till late night coz I had to meet up with my classmates in the evening, if not I would sure be happy to continue the session till midnight even. An unsatisfied Tianhao called me soon after they left to ask me if I was available during early Sunday morning coz they wanted to play somemore coz they felt it wasn't enough. Thinking that Mommy won't be too happy about it even if I didn't mind, and that Dawn will surely complain about the noise, I had no choice but to turn down his request, but I assured him that we would have another session very soon haha.

Hurriedly went to take a shower and changed up and rushed over to town to meet my classmates. So long since we got together (That's what I think). Apparently this probably might be the last time we can hang out with Meiqi coz shez going to UK to further her studies. Lucky her how I wish I can go overseas to study too. But she deserved the place because of her excellent 'A'Level results, unlike me...haiz.. Anyway, we met at Marche@Heeren for dinner. Shared the total cost of whatever we ordered, which included pasta, calamari, pizza, crepes, rosti and of course soft shell crab. Haha. Thereafter, we walked around for a while before settling in at Party World Orchard KTV. Sang till like about 2am like that... Me, Russel, Janice, Jong and even KY really sang alot..but a pity Meiqi and David didn't like to sing...in particular Meiqi, we would have loved to hear her sing manz..We tried so many times to get her to sing but shez ever so stubborn and decided to just sit in and listen to our beautiful voices whahaha. Russel sang his favourite HEI SE YOU MO by JAY CHOU, then I duet with him this song by DONG LI HUO CHE, which we tot we sang really to great effect haha. And I was pretty honoured to sing ROOFTOP with Jan..although I slightly regretted coz I didn't sing that song too well that night. Well wadever haha. I'm sure we enjoyed the night@KTV..the song of the night was probably MR VAIN haha..Thanks to Russel Fong, who was able to find that stupid dumb song haha. Ken too found a farni song in FAST FOOD SONG...whose lyrics are just so funny..haha

Then shit happened. The ever so nice Ken decided to see all of us home coz he was the only driver, and I dunno for what reason, the tyre had to go flat on us. Probably because of our excessive weight, or maybe Ken drove onto something sharp on the road? It didn't matter, coz the tyre was already punctured. And we had to change it no matter what. Luckily I had my lesson on changing tyres at the driving centre not too long ago so I was roughly able to recall some of what I learnt that day. All of us guys helped to change the tyre except Hwi Jong who probably helped by safeguarding the wheel screws to make sure they aren't misplaced haha. As for the girls they just sat beside the kerb and watched on helplessly. By the time we finished replacing with the spare tyre..it was already slightly past 3am. And by the time I got home it was 4. Haha. But I think all of us guys would have felt a sense of achievement that night, for we changed a tyre by ourselves. kOOL. Moreover the conditions in which we did the job weren't particularly favourable because it was late at night already and the place we punctured the tyre had no street lamps nearby to supply sufficient light. Our only source were phones and a torchlight provided by David haha. Guys, we should be proud of ourselves. Without our expertise, we wouldn't have got our asses back at home HAHA. But I really hoped Meiqi enjoyed that Saturday night..because it was sort of an outing organised for her before she leaves for UK. Hope Saturday is not the last time I see her, I will probably be free to see her off at the airport on the day she leaves...yep..:)

After that night, I was so beat. I slept like a log till it was time to give Zhang Rui tuition. After tuition with him I went back and I slept again. You probably can imagine how tired I was. Haha.

How Korean dramas attract consumers

Drove Daddy's car and we went out for lunch together as I had the day off from work. We went to Ho Kee@Geylang Lorong 27 to eat. The Tim Sum there is just heavenly and I gotta say it's my favorite hangout for Tim Sum so far (I think this is really one of the best in Singapore). If you ever go there the fried seafood ball is a MUST TRY. Anyways, it was money well spent.

Headed over to Bedok Reservoir where I gave tuition to my new tutee, Guo Xiang. Hez an extremely hyperactive kid whose PSLE is just around the corner. That's why his mum requested me to tutor him 3 times a week. The pay is not fantastic but it's not bad either that's why I decided to take this assignment. I will probably take this as a challenge coz his results are horrendously poor. Extremely lazy boy, but well..I will just take things as it comes.

From there I headed over to Ubi to attend my driving lesson after a rather long abscence of 1 week. Reached pretty early so I decided to have a cup of coffee to keep myself awake and alert. What a coincidence it was as I met Amanda and also Moses a while later at the driving centre. I chatted with Amanda for a short while and she told me her test was tomorrow. Haha. Wish her all the best for tomorrow's test and hope her tester will be more lenient since it's already her 2nd attempt haha. She probably got to know me better coz she didn't remember my name before today. Haha just had to tell her I am the guy moving to Registry and she recalled. Anyways, was nice talking to her. Moses came too and it was really so coincidental..Later I had the session with beng-looking Vincent once more and thankfully he cleared my Module Two today so that I was able to book my practical test date. It is now official, 2nd Nov. Please wish me luck cos I think lots of it HAHA.

I have been following the Korean Show recently aired on Channel U at 10pm every Monday and Tuesday. It's a great show and I am just glued to it. I lurve the character playing the young Han Jingshu cos I think shez really pretty for her age..I feel so sad everytime she gets bullied by the disgusting Han Youli and also the horrible mum. They make me so angry everytime I watch the show. So the question is, what makes Korean dramas so successful? Answer? MAKE YOUR SHOW FREAKING SAD. Yes you and I gotta admit it Korean shows are dominating Asia right now with their melodramatic plots, and although we know their plots are so amazingly unrealistic, we still love to watch them. Because they make you bloody emotional. Oh yes it's true. Just look at the overwhelming amount of brainless Bae Yong Jun fans in Taiwan and you will know why Korean dramas are so successful. I hate to admit this, but I think that I am beginning to get infected by the K-WAVE and I even plan to borrow some Korean dramas from Calvin to watch haha. Anwyay, I must emphasize that the young Han Jingshu is really pretty! heh..

Isn't she pretty? Park Sin Hye is her real name, acting as the young Han Jingshu in Stairway To Heaven.

SBS Bus Drivers

Before I start on the main topic for today, I would like to comment on the Liverpool match I watched on Saturday night. Okay, although Liverpool did eventually win the match, I was disappointed with the team performance, especially when Gerrard went off. It just showed how much we need Gerrard to play every game for Liverpool and also our inability to break defences with good crosses. We are in serious need of a right winger. Rumours are spreading that Liverpool are lining up a bid for Cicinho, and I certainly hope we get the man. But whatever, I must reiterate my point that Rafa should stop playing Cisse out of position. Although his finishing was poor in the last game, I believe in him still and I know he can score. His pace is threatening enough to scare off opposition defenders. The best will be if Owen comes back to Anfield, then I feel goals won't be a problem anymore. To round up, Liverpool need to buck up if they want to win the Super Cup vs CSKA Moscow. I hope I can watch the match..Liverpool vs Sunderland is absolutely not the kind of standard us fans can condone throughout the whole season. We won, but the performance was disgusting. Seriously. I hope their next match they will be playing more fluent football.

Our saviour, Xabi Alonso, scoring the fantasic free kick, to secure Liverpool all 3 points against a determined Sunderland. Hez probably the only bright spark in the Liverpool team, together with Sissoko.

Anyway, to the main topic today. Bus drivers. What triggered me to write about bus drivers today was because I witnessed something that happened this morning on my way to work. There are indeed very nice bus drivers, but unfortunately there is probably an equal amount of unfriendly bus drivers around. The bus driver I saw today probably possessed both the good side and the ugly side. I originally thought he was one of the good bus drivers around by sparing a thought for people rushing to work and couldn't get on a saturated bus. But he helped out by asking the people in the bus to move in. That resulted in me being able to squeeze into the bus and I had a really good impression of this driver. But right after his attitude changed or something, for at the next stop when people were alighting he did not even bother to check if everyone has alighted or not. This resulted in an accident to happen, where one of the bus passengers trying to alight got his poor hands stuck in the doors of the bus. Worst still, that particular passenger had cried for help. Pretty loudly as I could hear it, so there was no reason why the driver couldn't have heard it. Maybe he pretended not to hear it, and he started to move off. Let's just say he really did not hear it. He could not have missed the stuck hands in the door for he had to refer to his side mirror in order to move off. I dont't know. But such negligence on the driver's part is totally unacceptable. In the end, the poor guy gotta to run with the bus for a relatively short distance before he could finally force his hand out of the doors.

I would like to express my thanks to those very nice bus drivers serving us civilians all over Singapore, and I know particularly one of them, driving service 359 in Pasir Ris. He never fails to smile at all his passengers and I really think it's very nice of him to do that. His golden pin worn on his collar probably shows that he is really a courteous driver. But I scorn those low-life unfriendly bus drivers who don't even give a damn and drive a bus for the sake of driving it. Shame on you. How in the blue hell can some bus drivers be so unfriendly? You mean the faster you reach your destination you get more pay? Nonsense. So why can't bus drivers stop at a bus stop in which someboday wants to get on? Oh yes you bet, I have experienced such situations before, where even though you stretch out your hand and wave at the bus driver, the driver ignores you and speeds past the damn bus stop. Worst, sometimes drivers ignore you even though they see you trying to chase the bus. They just purposely don't want to wait for you. These few acts by a minority of bus drivers really make me sick. It's unfortunate that such problems cannot be be tackled by the management because it is beyond their control to as it is human nature. Just sad that some of these bus drivers are even being employed coz they give bus drivers such a bad impression with their bad attitude.

This probably concludes my topic today on bus drivers. I think most of you who read this entry would tend to agree with me, I am sure that such situations happened to you before, at least ONCE..and don't you think such 'bad-attitude' drivers should be expelled from our society? These minority do not even deserve any respect nor do they even deserve to be paid because of their lousy service attitude.

Project Superstar

I don't wanna watch the Grand Final of Project Superstar anymore.

Kelvin Tan Wei Lian got into the Grand Final at the expense of Hong Junyang? I was always so confident Junyang will definitely ease through to the final but Kelvin's fan base proved to be ever so powerful. Dun get me wrong. I am not looking down on Kelvin because of his physical disability. He sings great and I have to adnmit it, but to be a superstar, I seriously doubt he has what it takes...In my personal opinion I think he is far from fufilling the qualties of a superstar (if that is what they are looking for, of course). I hate to say this, I don't hate him, but I gotta say that I think at least 65% of his votes were based purely on sympathy. Well, yeah coming to think of it, I really feel so sorry for Junyang. I thought he really deserved to reach the final. Oh wells..all I have to say is..if Kelvin gets the honour of being named the Superstar, the show would have failed coz there is no way Kelvin can be groomed to become a Superstar I feel. Kelvin will NEVER be as successful as Taufik.

On the other hand, I was relieved Kelly got into the Grand Final, although I have to agree that Xinhui was a much better performer amongst the pair that night. I'm pretty impressed with Xinhui coz I really hated her the first few rounds for she was so lousy. But she really made the effort to improve and it's there for everyone to see. She just keeps improving and has even surpassed the likes of Kelly. Now that is one thing that I have to respect her for.

I don't really care who wins Project Superstar now coz I thought the deserving winner should have been Junyang. Bleah.

So looking forward to another week of Premiership football...

LIVERPOOL vs SUNDERLAND
live on ESPN, Sat 10pm

I really hope they put Cisse on for a full 90 minutes coz I believe he is our main goal-getter. So Rafa PLEASE stop playing Cisse on the right wing. I don't like it and I don't think he likes it either.

Football can be THAT cruel

Oh come on..

Surely Wigan didn't deserved that. Fuck Chelsea coz it was really lady luck on their side..Wigan deserved at least a draw. But I gotta say..Crespo's goal was top-class.

If I were the Wigan manager, I would be cursing Jose Mourinho right now.

Determination

After yesterday night, I understood how powerful one's determination can be...

I felt a great sense of achievement last night when I finally managed to fix the faulty ceiling light in the kitchen. It was much tougher than I expected. Not the usual replacing of light bulbs where you just had to take off the spoilt one and fix it up with a brand new bulb. Initially that was what I thought, but when I opened up the covering it was a complicated electrical circuit to say the least, wires all around and screws and funny-looking things and everything. I asked Daddy for directions on how to get the light fixed and working again and I totally understood how to do it. But the sickening part was the screw. It was so old, so rusty and so bloody tight that I could not unscrew it out at first. Was so fed up about it that I was throwing tantrums at everyone after that 1st try. Then I decided to cool down and by the time I tried again my sweat had all dried up already. I wanted to give up coz I can't stand sweat dripping all over my body. You know it's always tough to fix something on the ceiling because you are acting against gravity..but I told myself to stay determined...and fortunately it paid off. Hah. I got that fuckin screw out, replaced the burnt wire with the brand new one, installed the starter back to where it was originally and..TATA!! I switched it on...and it was working again! At that moment, I really felt so happy for myself coz I did it..and somehow I was convinced that determination always prevails..and nothing is impossible.

I realised how important it is to know how to fix basic electrical units and appliances at home in case they become faulty or get spoilt. Well right now I am wondering if CCs offer courses such that it trains people learn how to DIY when certain appliances at home go faulty. I might enrol into this course if there ever is one in the first place...Could be rather interesting..and I think it is useful knowledge to know some DIY skills..can you imagine when you have your own family and your own house in future, and something goes wrong...you have no fuckin idea how to fix it...what will your wife and kids think of you? Your wife thinks you are stupid and your kids feel Papa can't do anything? Haha maybe not that extreme but it certainly says lots about you I guess...A MAN should be able to do such trivial things. After all, you are goin to be the breadwinner of the house yeah..so in conclusion: Go get some DIY skills and that's what I plan to do.

Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education alone will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.

The demise of Everton FC

Watch Villareal destroy Everton. I just love to see Everton DIE in the Champions League..Haha..

The Josico goal was fuckin sick.

Blame it on Everton's luck that they had to draw Villareal, arguably the worst team to be drawn against en route to the Champions League qualifying group stages.

Figueroa's goal
Josico's goal

Check out the Spanish commentary. I just bloody love their commentary.

Seven Swords

Had a very fufilling weekend, well at least I did not laze around at home, and instead made full use of my free time to go and meet out with respective friends.

Saturday morning I had driving lessons at CDC, and I learned the art of lane changing as well as how to negotiate right turns. Then rushed down to Changi after that to give Zhang Rui tuition. I am so looking forward to my fourth lesson with him so that I can get my deserved pay, coz right now I am so blardy bloke. I need funds to supplement my driving!!! Arghhh...

Meet Kai An@Somerset MRT and we decided to catch Seven Swords directed by Tsui Hark. Went to Cineleisure to try to get tickets but it was sold out, considered Wedding Crashers too but it was also sold out. Therefore, we decided to check out Lido for tickets, and walked past Paragon where kai An decided to buy a music CD. 'Funeral for a Friend' was the artist he bought, and he claimed that it was a very good band. Well, he let me listen to one of their songs later that night and I must say that it was a really good song. We queued at Lido, got our tickets, went over to Lucky Plaza to have our dinner and headed for pool@Mambo. I lost touch with pool for like dunno since when and indeed it showed very clearly, I was missing easy shots that I normally would have put in and it's really an off-form day for me at Mambo.

Anyway here were the people I met in town that day, realised I haven't been to town for like 3 weeks at least? Haha...so many familiar faces..some I just didn't bother to say hi because I din really know them well anyway.

Saw Amalina@City Hall MRT where I found out she was in polytechnic studying Physiotherapy. How cool it is to study that kind of subject! Haha..Anyway, she said I looked different because it had been such a long time since we last met. And really she looked so much prettier now..If I were a Malay I will probably get smitten by her wonderful looks! Hah. Anyways, was nice to catch up with her and I wanna wish her all the best in her poly days ahead. Pretty in Pink indeed coz she was wearing a pink top when I saw her...

Saw Jian Wei@ the area outside Ngee Ann City
Saw Favian and Wen Ting@the area outside Paragon, well they seem to be waiting for someone..
Saw Timothy@Lido, he probably didn't recognize me and why should he. haven't seen me since Primary Sch dayz haha...I guess I just got good memory.

Seven Swords was not a bad show, not fantastic but it's still ok to watch in my opinion. Personally I didn't find the movie as sucky as some other poeple might have thought, because I am a lover of swords. I was disappointed that they did not exclusively introduce each of the seven swords, but nevertheless I loved how unique each of the seven swords were.

[The Dragon] held by Chu Zaonan played by Donnie Yen
This is a damn fuckin cool sword. Donnie Yen deserved to hold this sword bcoz the coolest man in the show always gets the best sword. This sword is supposed to be the sharpest and can cut apart another sword. Apparently, the sound generated by hitting another sword is powerful enough to shatter a third sword. Powerful eh.

[The Transience] held by Yang Yunchong played by Leon Lai
This is my favourite sword. Simple-looking sword but actually it is one of the most powerful swords. The power equals to that of the Dragon. This is the only sword that the Dragon will never be able to break. What makes me fall in love with the sword is the name itself. So much meaning. Haha.

[The Heaven's Fall] held by Wu Yuanying played by Charlie Young
Oh a very unique piece of sword indeed. The attack of this sword is basically freestyle and follows the mind of the swordsman. Cool as it has no start and end. The blade of this sword can slip through its handle, making it a versatile sword indded.

[The Deity] held by Han Zhibang
No matter how powerful this sword is, it is still inferior to the Dragon. The nature of this sword is based on strength and probably is used in similar style like the Dragon.

[The Unlearnt] held by Fu Qingzhu
The name itself suggests this sword is a mystery. A sword that is black in colour, and it is an extremely long sword. It makes use of strong airstream to launch devastating strikes on its opponents. One of my favourites too.

[The Celestial Beam] and [The Star Chasers] held by Mulang and Xing Longzhi
I don't really know much about these 2 swords but I reckon they are really cool swords too judging by their names.

Movie Rating ---------> 3/5

Unfortunately the show lasted 2.5 hours which by then, was already 1145pm, which meant that I had no train home. So I had no other choice but to spend the night at Kai An's place.

SUNDAY AFTERNOON

Spent the whole afternoon with some of the HNF guys for karaoke singing @ cheap cheap Party World in ULU Loyang Point. The songs are surprisingly updated which really impressed me. Sang for like 4 hours and with drinks, tidbits and fruits included, each of us only had to pay 13 bucks. That is so much cheaper than KBOX. And remember KBOX don't serve you fruits. Also got a free '4 hr singing@Party World' voucher and a $10 discount on my next visit to Party World. Quite worth it in my view la. But Sze Bee felt the prices were like comparable to that of KBOX..where got lor...haha.

Oh I am so happy Chelsea won the Communuty Shield. Not because I favour Chelsea over Arsenal, but becaused I gambled on Chelsea to win!! Haha good investment indeed, won $27. Gonna collect my winnings tomorrow I think...lalala...
